What is Invisalign?
The Invisalign process is very easy; we will take x-rays, pictures and impressions of your teeth, which Invisalign will use to make a computerized 3-D picture of them. From these pictures, we will outline an exact treatment arrangement, including the accurate positions of your teeth, and let you know the estimated length of treatment.
Using the same technology we will demonstrate to you a virtual representation of how your teeth will move with every phase of treatment. Based on an individual treatment plan, a number of specially crafted, clear aligners or trays will be made just for you. These aligners or trays are made of a smooth, soft BPA free plastic. They will not disturb your cheeks and gums like braces regularly do. You simply wear these aligners throughout the day, and remove them when you eat or to brush and floss your teeth.
As you wear each set of aligners, your teeth gently and gradually begin to shift into place. And because they’re virtually invisible, most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them.
Treatment differs for every patient, but treatment regularly takes around a year for adults.
